The future of working with Tablets – The XArm Tablet Holder by X Layout

The future of working with Tablets – The XArm Tablet Holder by X Layout

Welcome to the future of tablet convenience.

Today we will be unboxing and trying out XArm TabletHolder that I found from a company called XLayout Japan.

As a freelancer, I tend to gear towards gadgets that allows me to improve my workflow. And today I got my hands on the sturdiest but sleekest designed table holder I have ever had and trust me I’ve tried a lot of tablet holders before and although they do the job, they aren’t doing it well or is just plain annoying.

What I have with me today is called the X-Arm. It’s $79 and was delivered to me in less than 5 days.

XArm Tablet Holder and its 360 rotating ball head

It has a 360 rotating ball head so moving it around andadjusting it to what I’mdoing is easy. It can hold the smallest phone I own and can also hold my whopping 12.9 inch apple ipad and the way it feels in my hands right now is unreal. For a price like this I would never expect it to be this heavy and sturdy.

Unboxing the X-Arm was truly such a premium feeling. I can’t help but be reminded of other premium brands like DBrand or Apple packaging. When you open the box it comes with this cool orange and black Letter X that I assumestands for the company branding that also reveals the product information card.

I also got a service warranty service card, the instruction manual and of course the product itself. It’s $79 and was delivered to me in less than 5 days. For this price I can’t believe how heavy and sturdy it feels. It can hold the smallest phone I own and can also easily carry the entire weight of my 12.9 inch ipad pro.

As a voice actor I always need a screen that will allow me to read my scripts while being close to the microphone, and as much as I want to believe that it is its true primary purpose, I just found so much more things to do with it.

    1. It allowed me to lay in bed comfortably and become my Netflix holder. Because of the rotating ball head and the easy ability to switch its positions, I can keep rolling around and still be able to use it as my personal TV
    1. Another is to be able to use it as a graphics tablet holder. I’ve always wanted to have a flexible tablet holder for when I’m creating graphics. I’ve seen a lot on Amazon but they just get so expensive real quick because the thing with drawing on a tablet is that you need to make sure its sturdy enough to be able to hold your weight when you start drawing. The XAarm Tablet Holder actually made sure I am now able to do that.
    1. It allowed me to use it for Video Calls, and filming content. The problem you’ll have is the height of it. It honestly cannot extend any higher than the arm and even if it’s a bummer, its totally not a deal breaker. I can see thisgetting a lot of use in the streaming community as well, specifically the ones that need to have a 2nd screen to read comments and the best part is, it doesn’t take up much space on your desk.
    1. And maybe another thing I would use it for is product head shots. I already own a lot of tripods to do this but because of how heavy my phone is, sometimes my other tripods just can’t hold up the weight. Fortunately the X Arm does. It fascinates me how heavy duty this really feels. I can’t wait to see how it holds up in a year or so because one of the worries I get is that there all gadgets deteriorate and this of course is no exception, and the bad side of it is if it does somehow become loose in a few years, there is no way for you to kind of tighten it up because its designed with these types of screws.

There are tons of more uses you can do using the XArm Tablet Holder and I’m sure what I’ve shown today is just the tip of the iceberg. I’d love to know what you think of the XArm Tablet Holder. If you’re interested in buying it please check out this link.

Happy Freelancing.
